Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.

Therapy Services

  • Youth (10+)

A supportive and creative space for kids who may be struggling at home or at school with worrying, feeling down/hopeless, family & friendship challenges, going through tough life transitions, and other ups and downs of growing up. It is not every day that kids can have honest conversations about how life is going with a safe supportive adult outside of their family.

  • Teens

Providing teens with space for honest conversations about all the complex parts of life that we should not have to process alone. I often work with folks facing challenges in home life, school life, friendships/relationships, transitioning into adulthood, self-image, identity development, anxiety, depression and more. Consider this a place where you can explore what it means to be authentically yourself.

  • Adults

For those who had to learn to smile through their suffering, who are exhausted holding it all together, or who had to grow up too fast, you deserve a place to rest and receive support. I work with people struggling with burnout, life transitions, identity issues (including sexuality, gender, race, spirituality, etc.), relationships, family of origin issues, grief, anxiety, depression, and more. If you’re looking for a place to share your story in your own words, I’d look forward to hearing it.

Payment

  • Individual Sessions: $140 per 55 minute session

  • Family Sessions: $170 per 55 minute session

Initial sessions are billed at my hourly rate. However, if we meet and then decide not to work together, I will waive the fee for the initial session.

Good Faith Estimate

In compliance with the No Surprises Act that went into effect January 1, 2022, healthcare providers are required to provide clients who do not have insurance or who choose work with an out of network provider, a Good Faith Estimate of the cost of services. I will provide you with a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

FAQs

Do you accept my insurance?

Due to the restrictive nature of working with insurance companies, I do not accept insurance as an in-network provider. As a private pay clinician, I can be billed as an out-of-network provider through insurance and am happy to provide you with documentation to assist you in filing for reimbursement. If you have a PPO or POS insurance plan, you’ll get partial reimbursement back for out-of-network therapy. In order to use out-of-network benefits for therapy, the cost for therapy services will first go towards your deductible (if applicable), then you can begin receiving reimbursement directly from your insurance company. Appointments are paid for directly by my clients at the time of service and I will provide you with proof of services through a detailed receipt called a “superbill” each month that can be submitted to your insurance for reimbursement. Many people are unaware that they do have out-of-network benefits that they can use for therapy, so I suggest contacting your insurance company prior to our initial appointment if you are unsure of your coverage. You can ask, “What is my out-of-network coverage for therapy with an Associate Licensed Mental Health Counselor?” I often see folks reimbursed 50% or more. I accept payment through all major credit cards as well as HSA/FSA cards.

Do you offer reduced rates?

Yes! If pricing is a concern for you, please reach out and we can discuss session fees together. I do offer a limited number of sliding scale appointments to make care more accessible for students, those uninsured, or folks going through financial hardship. Shoot me an email to learn more about my current availability for reduced rate appointments.

How it works

  • 1. Reach Out

If you’re feeling ready to book a therapy session, send me an email and I’ll get you scheduled!

If you’re not yet sure about scheduling an appointment and would like to have a free 15 minute phone consultation first, I’d be happy to chat.

  • 2. Sign Intake Forms

Once I’ve got you scheduled, I’ll send over a short questionnaire and some documents that you’ll need to sign before our first session. These include information about privacy, policies, and payment details.

  • 3. First Session

During our first session, we’ll go over some of the documents you completed and spend some time getting to know each other better. First session jitters are totally normal! I’ll try to help you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. We’ll talk a bit about what your hopes are for therapy and decide if we’re a good fit to work together, then we’ll decide how often to meet.
